Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Early morning departure from Marrakech. Crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (over 2,200m altitude) with photo stops, then a visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site and filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. On to Ouarzazate, the Valley of Roses, then the Dades Valley. Hotel check-in, traditional dinner and overnight stay.
Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga
After breakfast, discover the Todra Gorges and its cliffs nearly 300 meters high. Free time at the foot of the cliffs before the drive to Erfoud and then Merzouga. In the late afternoon, a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, a traditional dinner at camp and a Berber music evening around the fire under the Sahara's starry sky.
Sunrise over the dunes & immersion in Merzouga
Wake before dawn to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi. After breakfast at camp, a day dedicated to exploring the region: the village of Khamlia and its Gnawa music, meeting nomadic families, and a visit to the traditional market of Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Dinner and a second peaceful night in the desert.
Merzouga → Dades Gorges → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
After breakfast, the return to Marrakech via the Dades Gorges, the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate — the same route as the outbound trip, in reverse. Photo stops along the way, then crossing the High Atlas before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening.
Ait Ben Haddou, with no clock to beat
On a 4-day tour, the stop at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah doesn't need to be cut short to keep the rest of day one's schedule on track.
Built along the old caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech, this fortified village has preserved its traditional rammed-earth architecture, with communal granaries and tower-houses that have stood for centuries facing the Ounila valley.
The site has also served as a backdrop for numerous international productions — Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Lawrence of Arabia — without ever losing its authentic character, still home to a few local families.

Two nights in Merzouga, not just one
After the sunset camel trek on Day 2, it's time for the desert camp: a traditional dinner, Berber songs around the fire, then total silence under a starry sky rarely seen elsewhere.
It's the next day that this tour truly sets itself apart from the 3-day format: instead of hitting the road again that morning, Day 3 is entirely dedicated to the region — the village of Khamlia and its Gnawa music, meeting nomadic families, the traditional market of Rissani — before a second peaceful night in the desert.
That extra day mostly changes the pace: less driving, more time on site, so the desert stops being just a backdrop you pass through.
